‘Avatar’ running time set at 2.5 hours

That is the question about James Cameron’s “Avatar,” the science-fiction epic opening Dec. 18. The verdict is finally in and the movie will clock in at two and a half hours. Phew, don’t worry about it beating out “Titanic” in that area.

    I am really excited about Avatar and want my first experience to be amazing. Should I see it in regular 3d or Imax 3d first?
