J Depp hopeful for Pancho Villa

According to Variety, Emir Kusturica is in negotiations for Johnny Depp to star as Pancho Villa in “Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman With Six Fingers,” which is based on the novel “The Friends of Pancho Villa.” Part of the story will take place in Mexico where Villa is a historical figure and a hero to the poor.

Kusturica is also working with Salma Hayek to co-star with Depp.
