“The Hurt Locker” shows strong at DC Critics Awards

jeremyrenneroscar“The Hurt Locker” was among one of two films that showed a strong showing from the Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Awards yesterday. The film took home “Best Director” and “Best Ensemble” awards continuing to add badges to their already long list of accomplishments.

“Up In The Air,” starring George Clooney, took home the “Best Picture” and “Best Actor” awards furthering it’s chances for an Oscar win.

Best Director:
Kathryn Bigelow, “The Hurt Locker”

Best Actor:
George Clooney, “Up in the Air”

Best Actress:
Carey Mulligan, “An Education”

Best Supporting Actor:
Christoph Waltz, “Inglourious Basterds”

Best Supporting Actress:
Mo’Nique, “Precious”

Best Ensemble:
“The Hurt Locker”

Best Breakthrough Performance:
Gabourey Sidibe, “Precious,”

Best Screenplay, Adapted:
Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner, “Up in the Air”

Best Screenplay, Original:
Quentin Tarantino, “Inglourious Basterds”

Best Animated Film:
“Up”

Best Foreign Film:
“Sin Nombre”

Best Documentary:
“Food, Inc.”

Best Art Direction:
“Nine”
