Cameron Diaz for “Bad Teacher”

Variety reports that Cameron Diaz is set to star in Columbia Pictures’ new comedy “Bad Teacher.” The film is being directed by Jake Kasdan (Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story) and is being written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (“The Office”).

“Bad Teacher” focuses on a gold digger middle-school teacher who eyes a model teacher at school after being dumped by her boyfriend.

The production is set to start filming in the spring in Los Angeles.
