Nielsen Sells Hollywood Reporter & Billboard
According to The Wrap, Nielsen has made it official and has sold The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Adweek, Brandweek, Mediaweek, and Backstage magazines to e5 Global Media Holdings.
The official price tag was not revealed, but according to one source the price is in the $70-75 million range.
Nielson’s Greg Farrar released a statement saying, “This move will allow us to strengthen investment in our core businesses – those parts of our portfolio that have the greatest potential for growth – and ensure our long-term success.”
The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
