Sawyer’s last day arrived
Diane Sawyer had her last day on ABC’s “Good Morning America” yesterday and took a moment to reflect on the past. The majority of the broadcast centered on her departure and included video clips, hugs, and lots of tears from the last 11 years on the show.
Sawyer will be starting on “World News” Monday and will be replaced on “GMA” by George Stephanopoulos.
She was full of modest words as she told The Hollywood Reporter, “My heart is smiling, and the privilege of sharing my mornings with all of you has been more than I can say. The best part of your life is when your family becomes your friends and your friends become your family,”
