“Avatar” takes $2.28B foreign sales
Variety reports that “Avatar” has just set a new industry record bringing in $2.28 billion in sales overseas from Dec. 23-27. Just in the first 10 days, “Avatar” rolled in $625.9 billion making it the third title to ever cross the billion dollar mark.
The film has brought in $39 million alone from IMAX theaters and over the Christmas break was playing in 14,844 screens across 108 markets.
