ABC picks up “Body of Evidence”

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that ABC has picked up “Body of Evidence,” a new medical drama from “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shonda Rhimes. The story follows Megan Hunt, a former neurosurgeon-turned-medical examiner who brings her crime-solving perspective to the table and in turn creates conflicts with everyone ranked above her. Producer Matt Gross said it is a “female postmortem ‘House’.”

ABC has also ordered a full season of “Happy Endings,” a new comedy from producer Jamie Tarses and writer David Caspe.

Other new pilots that have just been ordered are “The Odds” for CBS, and “Nevermind Nirvana” by Fox.
