“Hesher” picked up by Newmarket

“Hesher,” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been picked up for U.S. distribution rights by Newmarket as reported by Cinemablend. This dark drama follows Gordon-Levitt as he invades a family grieving over the death of their mother.

Newmarket has a history of acquiring films that revolve around dark themes with the list going from “Memento,” “Cruel Intentions,” “The Passion of the Christ,” all the way to “Donnie Darko.”

    Joseph was so good in 500 Days of Summer as a clean cut man, so I’m interested to see him in this one all scruffy. From what I have read, this film truly shows his talents as an actor that deserves more credit
