“Avatar” break $2 Billion Box Office Mark

avatar600x250

WENN has reported that “Avatar” has just broken the $2 Billion box office mark bringing its total gross to $2.039 billion after seven weeks of #1 on the charts. The foreign total for the film stands at $1.45 billion following a $95 million weekend from 120 countries. The studio declined to comment on where they predict the movie will end up since it is expected to create a flurry of action after the announcement of this Tuesday’s Oscar nominations.

The “Avatar” records are amazing considering the sales numbers don’t even take into account the higher ticket sales due to the 3D screenings.

Great news. Hopefully she will win the Oscar. If so, it will be the first time a woman wins an Oscar. She is a great director.
