Larry Baldauf Named Executive Vice President of Marketing@Fox Searchlight
IndieWire reports that Fox Searchlight Pictures Presidents Nancy Utley and Stephen Gilula announced today that Larry Baldauf has been named Executive Vice President of Marketing effective early March assuming the role previously held by Stephanie Allen. He will jointly manage all aspects of marketing with Executive Vice President of Marketing Michelle Hooper. They will report directly to Gilula and Utley.
“Larry is an exceptional creative executive who has enjoyed continual success throughout his career including award winning campaigns for JUNO, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE and THANK YOU FOR SMOKING. He brings a wealth of experience, creativity and vision that will give a fresh perspective to our campaigns,” said Utley and Gilula. “We are thrilled to have Larry join us here at Fox Searchlight and are very fortunate to have him.”

Mr. Baldauf was a founding partner of Hollywood based advertising agency ‘Acme Trailer Company’ along with Mike Camp, Stephen Grzymala, Bob Thompson and Scott Walls. Acme is working on several notable audio-visual campaigns, including Paramount Pictures’ UP IN THE AIR.
Prior to Acme Trailer Company, Mr. Baldauf was Creative Director of ‘The Lounge’, a boutique arm of Craig Murray Productions. While there, he spearheaded award-winning theatrical campaigns for THANK YOU FOR SMOKING, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE and JUNO.
He also served as Vice president, New Business Development / Producer at New Wave Entertainment, where he crafted campaigns for ONE HOUR PHOTO, THE GOOD GIRL and 28 DAYS LATER. Prior to that, he was Creative Director, ‘Harley’s House’, producing campaigns for SEXY BEAST and WAKING LIFE.
Before working as a vendor, Mr. Baldauf was Director, Creative Film Services at Buena Vista Pictures Marketing, and Director of Creative Advertising at Buena Vista International.
In an earlier career, Mr. Baldauf was a Fighter Pilot in the US Navy, flying the F/A -18 Hornet, and, a Commercial Pilot for American and Alaska Airlines. He is a graduate of UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art / Graphic Design.
