Friday Night Lights to end at season 5

Michael Ausiello at EW reports that multiple sources are confirming that season 5 will be the last season of “Friday Night Lights.” They have said that they’ve let the cast know that they are free to pursue other work after production on the remaining season 5 episodes are wrapped. Production on season 5 is set to wrap in June or July of this year, right around the time that other productions are starting up. This gives the stars of the show plenty of time to find new jobs and opportunities to move their careers forward.
