Magnolia Pictures acquires Sundance film “Countdown to Zero”

Indiewire has reported that Magnolia Pictures has acquired the North American theatrical rights from Participant Media to “Countdown to Zero,” which recently just made an appearance at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The documentary, by Lucy Walker, follows the global nuclear arms crisis and features statesmen President Jimmy Carter, Mikhail Gorbachev, Pervez Musharraf, and Tony Blair. The film was produced by Academy Award Winner Lawrence Bender.
