Kathryn Bigelow has just booked her next project which will be to direct a potential HBO series created by John Logan entitled “The Miraculous Year.” The series is a look into the venues of art and theater and HBO describes it as, “an examination of a New York family as seen through the lens of a charismatic, self-destructive Broadway composer.”

Logan’s past film scripts credits include “Gladiator,” “The Aviator,” “The Last Samurai,” and “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” According to THR, Bigelow is set to be the director and executive producer of the new pilot. When Bigelow wraps this pilot, she is expected to return to Mark Boal (screenwriter of “The Hurt Locker”) to start a new movie entitled “Triple Frontier.” This movie follows the drugs and crime dramas near the borders of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina.
