Sony Pictures picks up Sundance favorite “Animal Kingdom”
Sony Pictures Classics has picked up the U.S. and Latin America rights to the Sundance Film Festival favorite “Animal Kingdom.” The film is an Australian crime drama that stars Ben Mendelsohn, Joel Edgerton, and Guy Pearce. First time director David Michod took home the 2010 Sundance World Cinema Jury Prize just a month ago.
According to CinemaBlend, Sony Pictures stated, “There is nothing more exciting than the birth of a major filmmaker. David Michôd is about as major as they come.”
