“Two and a Half Men” goes on hiatus due to Sheen’s rehab

Since Charlie Sheen’s publicist has announced the news that he will be going into rehab, his main gig, “Two and a Half Men,” will be going on hiatus as well. USA TODAY reported that Sheen’s publicist stated that he was entering a rehab facility “as a preventative measure.” Executive Producer Chuck Lorre said the show supports his decision and released a statement saying, “We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal matter.”

i think that charlie sheen is a very lucky actor. he has every reason to care about 1) his own mental health, 2) his beautiful family and 3) his career….and in that order. I think as a fan of his show, he is not so funny in rehab, and maybe he has learned yet another thing about himself in this setting. I don’t think hollywood media should be referring to it as a “rehab stint” as it is a process and perhaps a ‘grind’ and hopefully an ongoing realization that his addictions do matter and can make or break the personal and professional life he has. i am studying about alzheimers and stroke and acquired brain injury at the moment and know how the brain can be. if i could change the world, i would visualize my own problems with drugs and become the one that doesn’t need them in order to make the world and my home a better place. wishing you success and a not so rocky existence…
