Wolfgang Puck has big night planned ahead for the Oscars

Wolfgang Puck is going to be providing the food for 1,600 guests who will attend the post-Oscar Governors Ball for the 16th year. The Governors Ball is where all the nominees where will be including George Clooney, Sandra Bullock, Quentin Tarantino, and Meryl Streep. Puck has employed nearly 1,000 people including 300 chefs to work around the clock to prepare for the big event. One of the highlights of the night will be take home chocolates in the shape of the Oscar statues that are dusted in 24-carat gold.

The menu this year consists of crispy potato pancakes with smoked salmon and caviar, black truffle chicken pot pies, and baked alaskas served with espresso ice-cream, chocolate sorbet and hazelnut meringue. To top off Puck’s night he will also be hosting the AIDS fund-raiser for Elton John and a party at his flagship restaurant Spago all in the same night.

Puck told Reuters that “Everybody is a winner if they come eat with us.”
