The Iraq War has lasted seven years, cost billions of dollars, claimed the lives of thousands of Americans and Iraqis, and is, unfortunately, still going strong. Here’s the countdown of the top 10 films about the conflict…
10. “Home of the Brave” (2006)
Picture 1 of 10
This Irwin Winkler-directed film, which stars Samuel L. Jackson, 50 Cent, Jessica Biel, Chad Michael Murray, and Christina Ricci, cost $12 million but returned only $51,708, helping to establish the perception that even star-powered films about the Iraq War can’t make money. This one chronicles the story of four members of a National Guard unit that was dispatched to Iraq, learned it would be heading home in two weeks, and then encountered tragedy while on a humanitarian aid mission.

Is this a joke?… The top 10 films about Iraq war, and Brian de Palma’s Redacted is not in it. It should even be first. Whoever “staff” is on this occasion, I would recommend more research, more discernment, or stay away from list writing.
