The Top 10 Actresses Under the Age of 30

Within the first three months of 2010, we have seen an unusually high number of new films starring actors and actresses under the age of 30. Among them: “The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond” (Bryce Dallas Howard), “Youth in Revolt” (Michael Cera), “The Book of Eli” (Mila Kunis), “Fish Tank” (Katie Jarvis), “When in Rome” (Kristen Bell), “Dear John” (Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried), “Valentine’s Day” (Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway, Taylor Lautner, Emma Roberts, and Taylor Swift), “The Wolfman” (Emily Blunt), “Shutter Island” (Michelle Williams), “The Good Guy” (Alexis Bledel), “The Yellow Handkerchief” (Kristen Stewart), “Alice in Wonderland” (Mia Wasikowska), “Remember Me” (Robert Pattinson), “Our Family Wedding” (America Ferrera), “The Runaways” (Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart), “Chloe” (Amanda Seyfried), “The Hot Tub Time Machine” (Clark Duke), and “The Last Song” (Miley Cyrus). Therefore, I thought I’d offer my list of the top 10 actresses (this week) and actors (next week) under the age of 30:

Great to see this week’s installment of the top 10. I love your choices. totally agreed :)

Like your top 10 with ONE BIG complaint: Keira Knightly should not be placed so high. If it were me, I’d have her off the list altogether. She is one of the most self conscious actresses around, she takes you out of every period film she does with her emo slouching slack jawed expression. Michelle Williams would be my number one pick, with Natalie and Anne rounding out the top three. Evan Rachel Wood needs to be lower too. I know Twilight’s damaged her, but I see big things for Kristen Stewart too. I caught Welcome to the Riley’s at Sundance and WOW. She’s a force to be reckoned with at such a young age.

great choices! Theres no one there that I think shouldnt be, but I was a bit surprised to not see Dakota Fanning but see Ronan.. Dakotas been great since she was so little and has worked with so many..was she #11??

Kristen should be in the top 3. She’s the top on IMDB starmeter and hotter than them all. Keira Knightley has fallen off the radar and Emily Blunt is not well known,

and Where is Emma Watson ?

  • April 1, 2010 | Permalink |

    Anne Hattaway 1st really’ REALLY?

What about Scarlett Johansson ? She should be on this list. I know she hasn’t made anything recently be neither has Keira Knightly. Notable mentions should go to:
Kat Dennings she is one i would watch for in the future, if I had to pick somoeone whom I believe will make this list in the near future.

I feel like this list could use a makeover! Dakota Fanning definitely should’ve been on there.

Some of these people haven’t even done anything recently, like Keira Knightley

Whadya know they’re all f-cking white.

Emma Watson, Kat Dennings, Dakota Fanning… where are they? Ok, I think I might get why Emma and Dakota aren’t there, they don’t need watch, they’re granted forces, is that it? But what abou kat dennings?
And Kristen Stewart.. her ‘definitive role to date’ was her worst role so far, but she’s great in everything else, so I agree with her being on the list.

What about Jurnee Smollett or Shareeka Epps or Gabourey Sidibe or Dakota Fanning? All talented and worthy.

emma W isn’t here because she has only one role in her life Hermione. She must do other movies to show her talent. She is just a money maker.I would like to see Dakota here though

agree with emily blunt, anne H , carey,Mulligan , Ellen page ,kristen fucking stewart and the always fabulous Nathalie prtman….But where is Dakota? And please Emma watson is a nice pretty girl but she has nothing to do here

give me a break people, Emma Watson is awful. Take a look at her non Harry Potter work. I dont care how pretty she is, she cant act.

  • April 4, 2010 | Permalink |

While I agree with a lot of the actresses on the list. Though I think Keira Knightley should be lower while Evan Rachel Wood’s film work/performances has been spotty as of late. Here’s the following that I think has been overlooked: Jena Malone, Olivia Thirlby, Romola Garai, and Rinko Kikuchi. I would mention Scarlett Johansson but she hasn’t done anything noteworthy since “Girl With a Pearl Earring”. She’s been very inconsistent afterwards.

Soairse Ronan is a promising actress, yes. BUT Dakota Fanning is still ahead of her!!!

Kristen Stewart should be at top 5 at least.

Emma watson here? are you fucking kidding me? Dakota fanning , Abigail Breslin should have been here ..

This is HIS personal list of who is the greatest, not a public pole, anything based on stats regarding box office hit and misses or populatiry contests.

OH MY! Why is DAKOTA FANNING NOT INCLUDED IN THIS?

  • July 6, 2010 | Permalink |

Saoirse Ronan at No. 10??????? Are you kidding?? She’s streets ahead of the other 9..
‘Hanna’ was written specifically for her. Nobody is even close.

Thank you for NOT including Scarlett Johansson. I’ve yet to even see Jennifer Lawrence, but evidently she’s doing something right.
