Madonna’s former manager dies of apparent suicide

Madonna’s former 44-year-old manager has died of an apparent suicide in her home in Irvine, California, according to NME. The coroner’s office has reported that the cause was a self-inflicted gunshot.

The former manager worked with Madonna for almost a decade up until 2004. Some of her other clients included Ricky Martin, Jessica Simpson, Joss Stone and even Paula Abdul. In a statement released to CNN, Madonna’s publicist Liz Rosenberg stated, “Despite rumours to the contrary, the cause of death has not been determined and is currently under investigation. The family has requested that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.”
