Russell Crowe in early look at “Robin Hood”

BY SEAN O’CONNELL

Anticipation is starting to build for Ridley Scott’s “Robin Hood,” starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett.

Recently, NCM.com posted an exclusive, two-and-a-half minute, behind-the-scenes look at the film, featuring interviews with Crowe and Blanchett and a TON of extra footage. These new glimpses give us hope that this is not “Gladiator in Sherwood Forest,” as was suggested in the early trailers.

As previously announced, “Robin Hood” will premiere at the Cannes film festival before opening in theaters nationwide on May 14. The film also stars William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac, Lea Seydoux, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Alan Doyle, Danny Huston and Max von Sydow.
