Kate Gosselin tapped for TLC reality series

Kate Gosselin survived another round of eliminations on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” earlier this week, to much dismay from the public. She just can’t seem to get out of the public eye.

Today, we’re learning that no matter when the infamous reality television mom departs the dance show, she won’t be off TV for very long.

People, reports that TLC plans to cast Gosselin in a brand new television series, “Twist of Kate,” as well as multiple “Kate Plus 8” specials that will grant more air-time to her overexposed children.

People says the new show will “focus on her life as a single mother and costar the young Gosselin brood, despite the series of well-publicized clashes between Kate and her ex, Jon, over custody of the children.”

“Twist of Kate” will begin this summer, and is scheduled to run for 12 episodes. If Gosselin plays her cards right — and improves her questionable dance skills — she’ll be able to stay on “DWTS” right until her new show debuts.
