American Idol results are in…Andrew and Katie are going home

Both Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens will be going home. They did not get the votes needed to stay in the competition. After his dismissal at the beginning of the show Andrew said “I’m glad I’ve been through what I’ve been through.”

However, Katie had to wait until the end of the show to find out about her fate.

The other finalists remaining in the competition are Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Casey James, and Tim Urban.

It was sad that they are both gone now but I think we can all agree that Andrew and Katie didn’t have a real chance of making it to the end. I think down the road though that Katie will still be successful because she’s young and just need to find her style. I’m not saying I don’t think Andrew is bad, I’ve been hard on him but his Paula Abdul cover is still one of the best performances this season, if he can capture that again, he’ll be amazing.
