Tiger Woods commits to play in Quail Hollow Championship in 2 weeks
Tiger Woods just finished 4th place at the Masters Tournament, losing to Phil Mickelson, who took home the top prize. Following the tournament, he left on vacation with his kids and with no sign of his wife, Elin. Meanwhile, Elin was off on her own vacation and since then the two have barely spoken to each other. Tiger’s decision to return to golf so fast caused Elin to become very angry and question the sincerity of his attempt to repair their failing relationship. So when he announced he was going to take a brief break from golf after the Masters we thought maybe a month…or longer.
Today, Tiger has posted on his website that he has committed to play the Quail Hollow Championships on April 29 in Charlotte, N.C. So much for a hiatus from golf. He posted on his website saying, “I’m excited about competing. It’s a wonderful venue, and they always have a great field.”
In addition, he has also announced that he has committed to the U.S. Open at the Pebble Beach Golf Links in June. In regards to the U.S. Open he posted, “It’s always been one of my favorite courses. I can’t wait to go back.”
How do you think Elin is going to take the news?
