Welcome to my first post, Twi-hards!

You’re probably asking, “Who is this girl?  Why does she think she knows ‘Twilight?’”  Well, let me tell you a little about me and “Twilight”.  Hopefully you’ll find it interesting enough to stick around.

I started out late in joining the “Twilight” fandom. This fact, however, makes me no less of a fan than anyone else.  As a matter of fact, I would say it makes me a bigger fan because everything “Twilight” hit me like a tidal wave.  As far as “Twilight-related” activities, here’s some of what I’ve done:

1) I read “Breaking Dawn” in 17 hours.   Yes, 17 hours.  I then read it again over the next two days.

2) I’ve seen “New Moon” 7 times (so far).  I can’t even count the number of times I’ve seen “Twilight” (as a matter of fact I am going to throw it on after this post!)

3) To date, I’ve been to two “Twilight” conventions (Chicago and LA) and have pictures with Mike Welch, Peter Facinelli, Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz and Elizabeth Reaser.

4) I went to Vancouver, on a whim, to visit locations where “Eclipse” had been filmed after it wrapped.

5) I’ve seen every actor in the Cullen family (including Kristen/Bella) except for Nikki Reed and every member of the Wolf Pack except for Taylor Lautner.  For my experience meeting Robert Pattinson, please view the videos below:

6) I have in-person signatures from Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz (2), Ashley Greene, Chaske Spencer, Kiowa Gordon, Alex Meraz, Charlie Bewley, Justin Chon, Tinsel Korey and Justine Wachsberger.

7) I follow all the legitimate Twitter accounts for the actors, which can be found HERE

8) I’ve signed up for multiple contests –  I’ve won a screening of “The Yellow Handkerchief”, a “Remember Me” poster, and best of all, a red carpet interview with Robert Pattinson at the “Remember Me” premiere in New York.  You can see the videos from that experience at the bottom of this post.  I also, of course, won the opportunity to post for you on Hollywoodnews.com.

9) I own the following: “Twilight” and “New Moon” DVDs, soundtracks and movie Companion Guides, a “New Moon” Edward doll, 16 magazines with either Rob or Kristen on the cover (soon to be 17 with Flaunt Magazine), “New Moon” party plates, Two “New Moon” and a “Team Edward” t-shirt, an Edward bookmark, a 16-month “Twilight calendar”, Twilight sweethearts, and a hard cover box set of the series.

10) I blog and tweet about “Twilight” every day.  My friends have given up and just accept it…

11) I told my fiancé he was turning into a vampire in my sleep last month.

12) I was prom Bella for Halloween and my fiancé was prom Edward.

13) I told my future sister-in-law that her newborn son would make a great Renesme if he were a girl because there was picture of him with blood red eyes.

All of this within less than a year!

Best of all… “Eclipse” opens on my birthday!

I fear for the day when “The Twilight Saga” ends.  What will I talk about then?!?

Well, that’s just a little about me and “Twilight”.  And like every true “Twilight” fan, I have a few secret vices I keep to myself…

Like I said earlier…I hope you’ll stick around and come back to read my posts.  Thanks for visiting and I’ll be with you later this week!

    Hey Tracy

Great first post and awesome stuff as a TwiConvert!

I am a TwiConvert too and have been enjoying the ride so far…
But anything Twilight is pretty hard to come by where I am so I decided to take matters into my own hands…

I created the Twilighters Malaysia group on Facebook in June last year and hooked up with a fellow Malaysian TwiHard in starting TwilightersMalaysia.com, the biggest Malaysian based Twilight Fan Club. We held an unofficial mini premier for New Moon last year (with support from the official movie distributor and green light from Summit) where 274 fans who would normally not be getting the opportunity to watch a premier get to come and share their love for Twilight!

For our efforts, the official movie distributor with support from Summit invited us to attend the New Moon Tokyo Fan Event Featuring Robert Pattinson and Chris Weitz in Tokyo Japan! We managed to get a local magazine to cover our travel expenses and we were off! Though we did not get to personally stand eye to eye with Robert (or Chris for that matter), being in the same room and seeing Edward (oops, Robert) in the flesh was electric! I even got my pic of Rob featured in a local entertainment magazine, Galaxie which is also the one to recognize us as the biggest Malaysia Twilight fan base.

This year is even more awesome as we are given the go to hold (listen to this) an official Eclipse Charity Screening for 638 TwiHards in 2 locations, Kuala Lumpur and Kuching. This year, we are giving the opportunity for Twihards to Give back with a portion from the price of each ticket sold will be donated to a local charity!

My aim is to be able to organize the very first (and hopefully official) Twilight Convention in Malaysia and in the Asia Pacific region! And of course, to finally be able to meet the TwiTrio (Robert, Kristen & Taylor) in person (and not the wax kind either!).

Oh my! You are so lucky to have met all of them! So envy you! maybe the next time you are planning to brush shoulders with Robert or Kristen or Taylor or Peter (with an emphasis on Robert), you could give me a hola!

All the best in your future TwiPosts. Do checkout our site and blog!

    Greetings from Ireland.
Great story. Look forward to hearing more. Oh my what did we do to occupy our time before all this started??? Lucky you getting to meet so much of the cast. I’ve managed to meet ten of them at UK conventions but more are lined up for the future. I get my aunt in the US to send me over magazines we cannot get here so I totally understand where you are coming from with your magazine collections. Only my last trip to NYC I spent a fortune on twilight/new moon merchandise.
I had seen & loved your coverage of the Remember me red carpet at the time of the premiere. I am still mad at myself that I didnt go to London for the UK one. Fingers crossed for Eclipse.
Best of luck with your wedding planning. At least your hubbie to be knows the addict you are before you walk down the aisle 🙂 I keep saying I have the most wonderful husband to put up with my twilight saga addiction. .

Nurul – what a great thing you’ve done for Twilighters in your community. I’d love to write a quick post about it! Let me know if that is ok.

Elaine – Thank you so much! I’ve sent magazines to my friends in the UK, so I understand where you are coming from! And thank you for the compliments on my Remember Me premiere event! It was really exciting!
You should definitely try to go to the Eclipse one in UK if they end up doing it!

    Thanks for reading!

Sarah – thank you very much 🙂 Ireland isn’t too far from the UK, and they often do events there! If you are able to, you should try to take a trip to one of the fan events.

I left NYC the day after the premiere, but I definitely plan on going back. It’s a great city!

Hey, tracy so enjoyed reading your blog I will definately be checking back and keeping up.. so are you planning to reread Eclipse right before the movie release and what are some things in the book that you are hoping that they don’t leave out?
I am a late convert as well, probably not as die hard as you, but my friends laugh at me and think that I am a wealth of twilight knowledge and gossip!! ( I have three kids and a husband to keep up with)
Also, you did a great job in your interview it is nice to see fans getting such neat opportunities to meet these actors! Enjoy this opportunity and I will enjoy visiting your blog again soon!!!
