Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson on playing a gay character

By Greg Hernandez

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is on the cover of the new issue of OUT magazine!

The gifted out star plays one-half of a gay couple raising a child on the hit ABC comedy Modern Family. I’ve been a fan since he co-starred in the CBS sitcom The Class a few years back.

But with this show, it was never a question about quote unquote staying in the closet—which I’ve never been in.”
