Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau sneak “Iron Man 2” for Texas crowd

BY SEAN O’CONNELL
Tuesday night, “Iron Man 2” screened before a rabid crowd of comic book fans at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Tex. (an amazing venue, and an excellent choice by Favs and the Paramount team).

Lots of plot details are leaking all over the Web this morning, including news (and reported screenshots) of a surprise ending. Don’t click on too many movie gossip blogs if you’d like to be surprised when the film finally opens on May 7.

But instead of an ending, we have a beginning for you. Favreau linked to this intro video he and Downey made for the Alamo audience on his Twitter page, @Jon_Favreau. It’s a great way to get people pumped for the film. It shows gratitude for the “Iron Man” fan base, and whets our whistle for the actual film.

Man, I want to see this film tonight. May 7, get here soon.
