Paris Hilton owes $1 million for the film “Pledge This!”, says investors

Paris Hilton has recently split from boyfriend Doug Reinhardt and has made it clear to the world that she has moved on and doesn’t want to look back. While she hasn’t been active in any movies lately, it looks like a movie from her past has come back to haunt her. Her 2006 film “Pledge This!” in which she portrays a sorority girl probably didn’t appeal to many people and related to the struggling box office numbers that it failed to bring in.

Now she is caught up in a legal battle between whether she owes $1 million dollar restitution, reports AP. They report that the film investors are arguing that she was paid the $1 million for her part, but should return it because she didn’t plug the film enough. On the other hand Hilton’s attorney, Michael Weinstein, stated, “Paris Hilton is a brand. That is her value, and how she makes money. She did substantial publicity.”

It is unclear as to how this one is going to turn out.
