Lynn Redgrave, 67, passes away

Hollywood lost an icon as actress Lynn Redgrave passed away. She was 67.

Redgrave’s death was announced by her children, according to CNN. Daughter of actor Michael Redgrave, sister of Vanessa Redgrave and aunt of Joely Richardson and the late Natasha Richardson, Redgrave was noted for her roles in 1966’s “Georgy Girl” and 1999’s “Gods and Monsters,” earning Academy Award nominations for both films. Recently, she appeared on the television programs “Ugly Betty” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”

An official cause of death was not released, though Redgrave had been treated for breast cancer in 2003.

    I saw Lynn in Georgy Girl when I was 10 years old. I loved that movie and Lynn was my first movie star crush! I always felt she had a beautiful soul and she never left my heart. I always looked forward to her performances.
    What a dimal day this will be…
