Tim Urban on life after “American Idol”

HollywoodNews.com: With only four contestants left on American Idol, I’m still missing my Timmy.

Tim Urban was voted off the show a few weeks ago and had to settle for seventh place. He says in this new interview that “I went home when I was supposed to go home … All in all, I look back and this was an amazing journey, an amazing start of hopefully a career.”

He realizes that being a last-minute replacement in the top 24 and bombing that first week did not bode well: “I was going to be the alternate who is escaping the inevitable, barely getting by. I created the perfect storm, I was the alternate who went on the first week and just tanked it.”
