Score tickets to the “Eclipse” red carpet premiere beginning Monday May 10th

By Kim Palacios

HollywoodNews.com: Want to score tickets to the “Eclipse” red carpet premiere? It’s possible, but it won’t be easy. If you’re not holding your breath for a contest win or a private invitation from Rob, you’ll need money, good timing, and luck to make it happen.

The June 24th event will be part of the Los Angeles Film Festival, which will show “Eclipse” at the Nokia Theater in what it’s calling a “Bonus Screening”. The most straightforward (but most expensive) way for a fan to get a ticket is to buy the $1,000 Fast Pass, which gains the purchaser and a guest access to the most exclusive of festival events (e.g., opening night, closing night, parties), including the screening of “Eclipse”.

For $600, you can get an Industry Pass (but only if you are a member of Film Independent). The combined cost of this pass and a one year individual membership to Film Independent is $695. This package only covers admission for one to the aforementioned events, but comes with some additional perks. Film Independent is in place to “champion the cause of independent film and support a community of artists who embody diversity, innovation, and uniqueness of vision”—if you love film, your Film Independent membership carries separate benefits of its own.

There’s one big caveat: all purchased “Eclipse” tickets are subject to availability at the time of booking, because the main event is meant to be invitation only. This means that tickets will only be issued with Fast Pass and Industry Pass level buy-ins while surpluses last. So, don’t wait ‘til the last minute if you don’t want to take chances. Given how many celebs, industry players, and press will score official invites, paid tickets for the masses will be few.
