Sneak preview of Kristen Stewart in June issue of Elle Magazine

By Kim Palacios Though we’re a week away from the May 13th release of her cover shoot and interview with Elle Magazine, has posted extensive previews of Kristen’s time in the studio. In addition to a sneak peek of the cover and video of the shoot itself, the publication also posted quotations from Kristen speaking candidly about the price of fame.

The cover. A 23-photo spread showcases a little bit of Kristen and a lot of her accessories. It begins with the cover shot and takes visitors through a slide show detail of edgy fashions featured on Kristen; vintage photos of Joan Jett, and repeated mention of her in conjunction with Kristen’s personality and style, suggest that Jett was the inspiration for some of the showcased designs.

The shoot. Writer Alexa Brazilian and Kristen herself both comment on their experience of the shoot. Brazilian writes of Kristen driving herself to the studio and the “low-key Stewart quickly [being] reminded of her celebrity status” when faced with a gaggle of grooming staff who had constructed a makeshift Kstew shrine. Kristen’s own experience (as expressed by video narrative) focused more on the clothes.

The commentary. Kristen has always been known for a certain candor, but now that her star status has elevated, it seems there’s more to say. In this section, she discusses the “insanity” of being stalked, and the consequences of living life under a microscope.

I love the black and white pics the most of Kristen. They have a Betty Page yet very classy type of feel. Can’t wait for this Issue.
