Bret Michaels talks to Oprah for first TV interview since emergency

HollywoodNews.com: We have been holding on to Bret Michaels in our hearts as we’ve watched him hang on to his life after suffering from a brain hemorrhage. He has become one of the lucky few who is expected to make a full recovery and return to normal activities following the injury.

Now he will talk to Oprah today via live feed in his first television interview since the emergency. The episode will air on ABC today at 3pm PST. However, fans have been concerned for the rocker’s appearance ever since previewing some clips from today’s episode online. His website has released the following statement to keep fans at ease:

“After seeing promotional clips for tomorrows Oprah Winfrey Show featuring Bret, concerned friends and fans have flooded my e-mail box with questions so I thought it best to address them here as it will take me too long to reply individually.

Yes, there is a slight, noticeable drooping on one side of Bret’s face. Yes, this is a result of the hemorrhage and possibly exacerbated by some of the medications he is on. Will it go away? We are hopeful that with further rehabilitation it will eventually go away. While we all realize there are no guarantees we all are of course hoping for a full recovery. Bret, his family and all of us at Michaels Entertainment cannot thank you all enough for your continued thoughts, prayers and well wishes.”

Make sure to tune in today to hear his first words since the emergency.
