David Slade Tells Twitter Followers “Eclipse” is Almost Ready!

HollywoodNews.com: As many of you read or heard on May 4th, a group of guests attending the Oprah “Twilight” show got to see a pre-screening of an unfinished “Eclipse”.  Despite unfinished CGI work, a scene or two needing some re-shoots and the sound/music incomplete, fans were tweeting how fantastic the film was.  Rave reviews nearly all around.  This can only lead us to think that the final version will be even better!

Yesterday, David Slade, “Eclipse” director, tweeted “Reaching the end of the Eclipse post production schedule, mere weeks before we rollout the cinema prints, which I will check myself.”

This can only mean that despite perceived controversy surrounding the film – Re-shoots so close to the premiere, salary negotiations for “Breaking Dawn”, etc., “Eclipse” production kept moving forward and was in high gear.

Last minute film changes, let alone supposed controversy can have damaging effects to a project.  Luckily, the cast and crew were able to move past any controversy and power through the re-shoots to bring us what will likely be the highest-grossing, if not favorite, “Twilight Saga” film to date.

Mark your calendars for June 30th.  (Right, like you don’t already have tickets for the midnight showing on June 29th 😉 …)
