David Hasselhoff back in the hospital after drinking binge

HollywoodNews.com: David Hasselhoff is set to return to “The Young and the Restless” for a short role that is scheduled to air in mid-June, however that seems to be the only good news heading his way. The actor was taken to the hospital on Sunday by his 17-year-old daughter after going on a three day drinking binge.

This is the fifth time that he’s entered the hospital under these conditions and still denies that he has a problem. A source close to him told Hollyscoop, “I’m sure he’ll try to deny it this time, too. And that’s sad, because it’s his daughter who is suffering when she has to take care of him after a bender.”

It looks like Lindsay Lohan isn’t the only one who needs help.

My disabled daughter adores you! You need to clean yourself up for the people who care about you. She is your biggest fan when you weren’t even popular. She has loved you since 2000. It was her wish that brought you back into show business…she thinks so anyway. To her you walk on water. Make her proud of you and get your shit together!

The problem with binge drinkers is that they are worse than the “every day alcoholic.” They rationalize their binges by saying to themselves that “I don’t drink all the time.” The binge drinker abuses their body just as much as a “every day, heavy-drinking alcoholic.”

The worst thing about David Hasselhoff is that he has seen his career disintegrate. He DID NOT quit “America’s Got Talent.” He was asked to either go to rehab or he would not be brought back. Why? Because with binge drinkers, they time periods in between the binges get shorter and shorter with time.

The great actor Spencer Tracy was a notorious binge drinker. Tracy would go months at a time without drinking, then he’d retreat to a hotel for a weekend with a suitcase full of liquor bottles.

David Hasselhoff will ultimately destroy his health from his condition. Right now, he doesn’t see it that way.

But denial is even stronger than the addiction itself.
