Is “Sex and the City 3” already in the cards?

Hollywoodnews.com: Is a third “Sex and the City” movie in the cards?

According to Kim Cattrall, who plays one-fourth of the cosmopolitan combo set to invade movie theaters this weekend, anything is possible and she’s more than ready.

“I don’t know if there will be a third,” the actress told MTV News. “I hope there will be. I think there’s more stories to be told. That’s totally (series creator Michael Patrick King’s) call.”

Let’s see how the second “Sex” does, first. Opening Friday, it finds the ladies — Sarah Jessica Parker, Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon — juggling motherhood, marriage malaise, and the Middle East as they continue to grow as urban dwellers in the Big Apple.

And if they did eventually film a third sequel, what would it be about? Don’t ask Cattrall.

“That’s totally not up to me, thank God! Thank God I don’t have to write that third script,” she said.

“Sex and the City 2” opens in theaters Friday, May 28.
