Adam Lambert’s “American Idol” Performance canceled

HollywoodNews.com: Adam Lambert has been rumored to be a judge on the next season of “American Idol,” despite the singer wanting to just focus on his career. He came back to mentor the contestants this season and was scheduled to return for the finale tonight for Simon Cowell’s big sendoff. However, drama has already begun for the season finale because apparently Adam failed to show up for his rehearsals.

According to Popeater the producers weren’t sure “if Adam is sick, being a diva, or worse, planning something that he does not want people to see.” The whole drama resulted in his performance being cancelled all together and therefore he will not be included in the finale anymore. They also report that they are going to play off his absence as being sick and that the real reason for his absence is his refusal to conform to their standards for his performance.

You would think that he would want to comply with the show that launched his career.

Adam said last week on Twitter that he was not going to be on the finale.

Please recheck your sources… according to Mr. Lambert himself, quite some time ago on twitter… he was not invited this season to participate in the finale.. although he indicated support for American Idol, with many artists to select from, and a ting of sadness as a favorite and loyal alumni….

PS. Absolutely adore Adam’s sunglasses… especially with these pearls… can I have some?

This is true that he tweeted he wasn’t going to be on it, but if you read the article from Popeater they state: “It’s possible that this was either true at the time and changed later, or it could have been a diversion to make his appearance a surprise. What’s certain is that my sources tell me he was definitely supposed to perform tonight, denial or not.”

It could very well be that all of this is a set-up for a surprise – it’s my understanding that several stars are coming to surprise Simon.

A week or more ago, Adam tweet cleared up various ‘rumor’ Adam said he was not approached to judge, said he was not scheduled to perform on finale, and cleared up other non Ai rumors. If you jdon’t know by now that popwatch is mostly fiction, I can’t help you.

Adam is under doctors orders not to perform because he has strained his voice. He has a tour coming up soon, and it’s important that his voice is strong for the grueling months ahead. I have tickets for two of his concerts, and my family and I would be very upset if Adam had to cancel. I wish he could perform on ‘American Idol’ tonight but his health is more important. Even though I love Adam’s voice, the man woldn’t have to sing tonight. He could just stand on the stage and be his gorgeous self, and that would be more than enough for me.

ummm… I hate to say that you are a liar but….
according to Adam he was not invited to perform at the AI season finale- their loss.
So as amazingly entertaining as this story is it is Not true.

Nope, lambert was never scheduled, just another bit of fiction by desperate blogger.

  • May 26, 2010 | Permalink |

Am Idol loves Adam Lambert. But, he has not appeared on their published list of performers.
Nine seasons – AI has aired performances on tv- some live and some taped- but to the tv audience they all seem live. If they had any doubts about Adam’s performance Ha! they simply and easily would have taped it. Simple. Please feed your brain, eat a cookie. And remember ‘insider” means the story is fiction.

So, I guess if Popeater says it than the story must be true, right? Give me a break. One stupid gossip page prints this bogus story and then every one else has to run it as the truth? The whole story reeks of lies.

Considering the source .. POPEATER … really … Popeater? “Nuff said!!

  • May 26, 2010 | Permalink |

So many lies about Adam, propagating from one tabloid to another. When will it stop ? Adam tweeted over a week ago that he was not invited to perform on the finale. THERE WAS NO “CANCELED PERFORMANCE”. Please set the record straight and change your bogus headline.

Let’s not overthink this situation. Truth is Adam Lambert was never scheduled to be on this finale. The finale was a show for the winners of American Idol. Last season was still fresh on the minds of viewers. There was no way on earth they could let last seasons runner-up overshadow last seasons winner…which is exactly what Adam would have done. If I were Kris Allen’s mgr., I would have absolutely not have allowed him to appear on stage with Adam in this year’s finale. The fact that information was leaked regarding Adam’s being cancelled because he didn’t show up was strictly to create “drama” AI needed to help bring in viewers in a declining audience. Simple business.

Lies, lies, and more lies about Adam. Why don’t yu promote how an amazing talent he his instead of spreading false accusuations abouy this amazing talented man. Homopophic is all that you are pop-eaters website and should be sued!

Roger Widynowski of 19 Entertainment issued a statement saying that Adam Lambert was not scheduled to perform . He stated that Adam was to merely be in the line of former idol contestants on stage but Adam’ was put on voice rest due to laryngitis and he had to cancell several radio interviews and his appearance in the group number on stage.
Nest time you read’insider said” know that waht follows is a lie, is fiction, is fabrication. Often info from Rob Shuter of PopEye seens , in my opinion- jealous of Adam and tries to make him look bad whenever he can.. Pathetic.

Ryan Seacrest said on his radio program this morning that Adam was not invited to the finale and he thought he should have been. He said he just can’t understand why he wasn’t. Obvious Ryan is right, since everyone is taliing more about Adam Lambert than the winner, he should have been invited and would have helped their ratings. The show was just so boring this year!!!
