Madonna on top of “American Idol” judge wish list
Hollywoodnews.com: With Simon Cowell hours away from stepping down as the judge on “American Idol,” more pop musician names are being thrown around as his replacement.
Weeks after Elton John being in contention, it’s now Madonna.
Cowell strongly feels that whoever fills his bigs shoes, needs to “actually know what they’re talking about” according to U.K.’s The Sun.
Should the show land Madonna as a judge, it could be a huge reversal of fortune for the “Idol” franchise in terms of its ratings. Not to mention, the Material Girl’s involvement would extend the lease of “Idol’s” life on Fox.
If Madonna isn’t available as a judge, the show will apparently be happy to accept her as a mentor.
