Former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ contestants weigh in on whether Nicole Scherzinger deserved to win

HollywoodNews.com: was crowned the winner of “Dancing with the Stars” and now former contestants of the show are coming forward to state whether they think she deserved the crown.

Some feel that she was too good to be a contestant on the show to begin with, or at least that’s what Niecy Nash seems to think. She told People, “I like to see the growth. Nicole today is who she was when she got here — she was a great dancer and she still is.” She continued, “There were moments you couldn’t tell her from the pro dancers.”

However, veteran Edyta Sliwinska stated, “Nicole was the best dancer from day one. She was obviously on a different level than everyone else, but her choreography was more difficult, too. She absolutely deserved to win.”

Do you think Nicole deserved to win?

Nicole is a dancer already..haven’t you seen her dance with the pussy cat dolls???I thought the show was to teach celebrities HOW to dance and see who grows the most and wins the trophy. Like look at Erin, she is a sports woman broadcaster and doesn’t dance for a living like Nicole. She started off rocky with her dance moves and the she grew into a awesome dancer with all her hard work and she should have won it all.

Nicole deserved to win – she was a dancer to begin with yes, and even with that, Derek challenged her with difficult choreography and she pulled it off! She immersed herself into the process, and didn’t have her hand brake on (like Kate), listened to whatever the judges said she had to correct, and went for it. The others didn’t have her drive and determination. It was clear from the start….and I for one used three phones to vote for her just for that alone.

PS – Mya from last year is a dancer too – she lost because she didn’t have audience appeal, which Nicole has.
