The Top 10… Tennis References in Movies

HollywoodNews.com: The French Open—the second of the four annual Grand Slam tennis tournaments—is now underway in Paris, so I thought it might be fun to share my list of the 10 movies that most memorably feature and/or refer to the game of tennis (or some aspect thereof)…

10. “Wimbledon” (2004)

Picture 1 of 10

This heartwarming rom-com features a declining British male pro (Paul Bettany) and a fast-rising American female pro (Kirsten Dunst) who cross paths and fall in love while each making runs at Wimbledon championships. Large portions of the film were shot on the grounds of the All England Club, the legendary facility at which the tournament is actually played, so tennis buffs will certainly appreciate the unconventional look behind-the-scenes, if not the quality of the faux-tennis.
