Katherine Heigl discusses what drew her to “Killers”

HollywoodNews.com: Katherine Heigl’s last two comedies, “Knocked Up” and “27 Dresses” did very well at the box office, so we’ll see if her latest film can follow in their footsteps. “Killers” is another romantic comedy that features a girl who marries the guy of her dreams and then finds out that he’s really a government assassin.

Heigl recently sat down with the Boston Herald to discuss what drew her to the film. She said, “when I read the first date scene. Jen actually does the robot voice and realizes a beat too late how ridiculous it was. I laughed out loud on that one and still chuckle every time I think of it.”

In regards to how this film is different from her last two, she states, this one “has the sentiment of the romantic comedies that I love doing but also action – a definite departure from anything I have done so far.”

“Killers” also stars Ashton Kutcher and opens in theaters Friday.
