Russell Brand and Katy Perry say no to wedding registry

HollywoodNews.com: While Russell Brand is gearing up for his release of “Get Him to the Greek” this Friday, he’s also planning wedding details with fiance Katy Perry.

Since the successful couple feels that they have enough, they have decided to not do a wedding registry. Brand told People, “Given that Katy and I both have good jobs, we don’t want any presents. It would be a massive indulgence.”

It sounds like they’re one of the most down to Earth couples around.

That’s kind of pointless since most guests would bring gifts. We didn’t want gifts but my mom said that relatives would give them either way since it’s one of those traditional things. So we just opened a gift list at myregistry.com and set up several cash gift funds to the charities of our choice. This way no one wasted their money on toasters and quesedilla makers and silverware (we have plenty) and instead made admirable donations to great causes! Katy and Russell should definitely consider something of the sort!
