Tom Cruise predicts Beckham will play in World Cup 2014
Hollywoodnews.com: Tom Cruise, neighbor and good friend to soccer champ David Beckham, asserts that his buddy will be in the World Cup in 2014 – despite the fact that he’ll be nearing 40.
According to the U.K. Sun, Cruise is upset that Beckham will miss the Cup this year due to an Achilles tendon injury.
Cruise told the Sun, “I wish he was playing in the World Cup this year. But he will be back for the next one, you know.”
Cruise and Beckham became good friends when the soccer star moved to Hollywood and signed on to the LA Galaxy team.
Beckham bought a house, with former Spice Girls bandmate Victoria, down the road from the Cruises.
Beckham use to play for the Manchester United team in the U.K.
