“Glee” creator to introduce Christian character
Hollywoodnews.com: Executive producer of “Glee,” Ryan Murphy, has announced that he plans to add a Christian character to the show next season since his writing staff “takes care to do a show about inclusiveness.”
New character will be a female, however, won’t be a scapegoat throughout the show. She has yet to be cast.
Per Zap2it.com, Murphy’s creative decision was triggered by Newsweek’s homophobic article.
To date, “Glee” has taken slight jabs at conservative archetypes, i.e. a cheerleader’s Christian parents throw her out of the house upon learning that she’s pregnant and the school’s Celibacy Club is full of hypocrites.
