Why Kim Kardashian received Botox

Hollywoodnews.com: After all the tired stories about Kim Kardashian receiving Botox injections, the obvious question is: Why would a sexy glam girl like her ever play around with that?

E! does a fantastic job of solving this mystery and sat down with Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Renato Calabria. Apparently 10-20% of all twentysomething starlets order up Botox and not to puff up their lips, rather prevent laughs lines and adjust their eyebrows.

“Some celebrities—especially the blond, blue-eyed girls who squint in the sun—they tend to develop those frown lines a little earlier,” Calabria says. “As soon as they see that, they panic, they get the Botox.”

“Sometimes Botox is used instead of surgery to adjust brow height,” Calabria explains. “I just had a celebrity in the office. She’s 24, and her brow was sort of in the low position, and she wanted it a little higher. Instead of surgical procedure, which I thought would be too drastic for someone her age; we can use Botox instead and avoid surgery.”

The doctor also says that aligning brows is also a popular choice among starlets using Botox.

Kardashian has mentioned that she obtained Botox around her eyes – quite logically for an eyebrow raise.
