Robyn releases “Dancing On My Own” to kick off tour

HollywoodNews.com: Robyn’s has released her new digital single, “Dancing On My Own,” on iTunes this week.

Recently named “Best New Track” by Pitchfork, it’s the lead single from her forthcoming album, Body Talk PT 1, which is scheduled for release on June 15th on Cherrytree Records. Robyn recently premiered the Max Vitali-directed video for the track which can be seen below.

It was just announced that Robyn will perform on the “Late Show with David Letterman” on July 19th, and she’ll be kicking off a North American tour on July 16th with a performance at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. Beginning July 23rd, Robyn will team up with Kelis for a string of co-headlining dates, and they plan to bring UK sensation Dan Black and Robyn’s Cherrytree Records label-mates, Far East Movement, along for the ride.

Stay tuned for the exclusive global listening party for the already critically acclaimed Body Talk PT 1 on MySpace.com from June 11th-18th. Early reviews have called the album “Genius” (NME), “a perfect example of how she eschews the norm” (New York Post) and “…beyond anything that exists in my musical library” (Nylon). A mix of cool electronica, heartfelt pop and tracks that have all the hallmarks of becoming classic hits, Body Talk PT 1 promises something for everyone to love.
