Kim Kardashian to play Lara Croft in next “Tomb Raider” film?
Hollywoodnews.com: Videogamers’ joysticks are about to go wild: Kim Kardashian, 29, is in talks to replace Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in the next “Tomb Raider” film.
Rumors have circulated on the internet per Showbiz Spy and there have been no confirmations from Paramount or Mutual Film Company, the film’s producer. Also, it’s not clear if this will be a direct to video or major film release. Any way you cut it, Kardashian has big boots to fill. Jolie went all out method in translating Lara Croft from videogame to silver screen, down to perfecting the character’s British accent.
“This will be something very different to Angelina’s Lara,” a source said.
“Kim is wanted to play a far more comic-strip version of Lara which would be shot in 3-D and aimed at a teen audience.”
Kardashian for some time has mentioned how she would like to act more. She apparently took acting lessons for a guest turn on “CSI: NY.”
“She gets scripts sent to her all the time, but unlike so many other famous people she doesn’t just want to make a film without first learning the craft,” the Showbiz Spy source adds.
