“Harry Potter” footage teased during MTV Movie Awards

Hollywoodnews.com: Enough of this “Twilight” nonsense. Let’s move on to a relevant cinematic franchise: “Harry Potter,” which teased footage from its eagerly anticipated, two-part finale during last night’s MTV Movie Awards.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is directed by David Yates, who helmed the last two “Potter” adaptations, “Order of the Phoenix” and “The Half-Blood Prince.” Part One will be in theaters this Thanksgiving (Nov. 19, to be specific), and it was footage from this opening salvo that premiered during the awards show last night.
You can see the clip online at HPANA.com, an aggregator of Potter happenings on the Web.
In the 53-second clip, we get better glances at Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort, and shots of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as they avoid dark forces in the real world. There’s suggestion of the conflicts that will rip apart Harry, Ron and Hermione, with Radcliffe selling some of the anguish his young wizard will have to endure in this first part. And there’s some running.
Will Part One only be a lot of running? Those who’ve read J.K. Rowling’s book know there’s a lot of fleeing before we get to any real conflict, and Part Two (due in theaters July 15, 2011) should be the slam-bang conclusion fans are hoping for. But there’s great emotional work to be done in this first segment, and I believe by now, these talented actors are up for the heavy lifting.
