“Glee” notches the most watched series finale for 2009-10 TV season
Hollywoodnews.com: TV viewers were in perfect harmony with Fox’s “Glee” Tuesday night. The show caught the ears of 11.1 million people as well as a 4.7 rating in the highly coveted adults 18-49 demo.
The numbers for “Glee” easily make it the most watched new series finale for the 2009-10 season – and without having “American Idol” as its lead-in.
“Glee” fended off ABC’s telecast of Game 3 of the NBA Finals (16 million, 6.7)
Per the Hollywood Reporter, “Glee” lead-in “Hell’s Kitchen” (7.0 million, 3.2) rose 10% in its second episode to date this summer.
The “Glee” benchmark came despite heavy competition from ABC’s telecast of Game 3 of the NBA Finals (16 million, 6.7), which gave ABC the nightly win.
Other top-rated shows Tuesday included NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” (13.1 million, 3.7).
