Green Day hopes to add more songs to “Rock Band” game

HollywoodNews.com: Green Day’s “Rock Band” game may have just come out yesterday, but the band is already looking at ways to improve the game.

Hands down from the start, the game is sure to please Green Day fans. Not only do the characters stay true to their antics, look and style, but there are different versions of Billie, Mike and Tre. At first you might get turned off by the choice to only pick from three venues, but each are significant to the band and literally show their aging throughout the years.

While the game comes with 47 pre-loaded tracks spanning from “Dookie” all the way up to their latest, “21st Century Breakdown,” the band have so many more songs not featured from their earlier days. However, the band are already talking about how they can add those in the future. Drummer Tre told MTV, “That’s what’s cool about the ‘Rock Band’ thing, is if we want to add more songs, we can do it online, in the future. If we want to do some surprises and stuff, we can always keep adding to it.”

Frontman Billie Joe added, “Yeah, it would be great to see songs that are from, you know, [Green Day’s 1990 debut] 39/Smooth and [’92’s] Kerplunk, to come out on it. You know, that’s what’s exciting … to visit some of the older songs too.”

If you haven’t picked up a copy of “Green Day: Rock Band” yet, we highly suggest you give Rock Band one more chance, as this one is sure not to disappoint.
